IMPORTANT: This guide only covers a multi-user upgrade in a traditional local network and workstation configuration. If you are hosting QQube in a remote desktop or terminal services environment, then review this special guide.
There are two steps to this operation:
The initial screen:
Two things get checked after clicking the Install button:
This window will only appear if your yearly subscription has expired, with instructions to purchase an upgrade license. If you do not purchase an upgrade license, the installation will stop.
Clicking OK will get the licensing screen for you to enter your new License ID and Password.
Upon License activation, the update process will continue with the licensing agreement:
The next two screens may need to be adjusted.
Then the installation folder which will default to the existing installation folder, and should not be changed:
The following window will begin the file copy and component installation.
Progress Window:
Your existing database will automatically be updated to the current version and structure:
Finish of the installation:
IMPORTANT LAST ACTION: Perform a manual refresh to make your data available for use
You MUST have local administrative rights to perform this operation. Do NOT right click and "Run as Administrator".
The second step will update the workstation/client components on each workstation. Starting with the initial screens and licensing agreement:
One get checked after clicking the Install button:
The update process will continue with the licensing agreement:
The next two screens may need to be adjusted, as the installation does not auto-detect the existing installation type.
QQube will attempt to find the database on the network, and you should see the QQube Database listed in the box:
