Notes

Templates in QuickBooks are generally used for forms and printing forms, or discerning stages in the sales process. They are used in the following transactions:

1. Invoices
2. Sales Receipts
3. Credit Memos
4. Estimates
5. Sales Orders
6. Purchase Orders

• Use Templates in the Sales data models to Categorize certain types of sales
• Use Templates in the Job Cost Details to separate Original Estimates and Change Orders (caveat: you can't create a negative Estimate/Change Order)
