Unlike regular Excel Pivot Tables where you invoke the QQube Add-In, the only way to get started with PowerPivot is to open up one of the examples in the Configuration Tool and refresh to get your data.
Open up the QQube Configuration Tool and highlight Microsoft PowerPivot under the Examples section. You should see a list of PowerPivot examples - at least one for each data model.
If you see a data model example grayed out, please review this guide on selection and synching.
Check the synch logs to ensure successful and accurate data extraction.
Open up the example from the QQube Configuration Tool. It will open to a page with general instructions for:
Click on one of the tabs (Report Example). Go to the Data Menu Item, Choose Refresh All to refresh the data for all in the tabs in the work book.
NOTE: Depending upon the size of your data set in QQube, it might take several minutes to initially refresh your data.
Select from the hundreds of available fields shown in the PivotTable Fields listing. You are now 100% Excel
The Select Assistant is Grayed Out.The Excel Add-In is not used in the Power Pivot Data Models.
