The Configuration Tool Wizard is for first time users of QQube Versions 5.x and will appear only when you have an empty database and no companies loaded.
NOTE: If you have a terminal server installation, you only perform this step when logged in as the specific synch user you setup on the server.
There are five simple steps to get you up and running.
Open up the Configuration tool from the Start Menu:
Connect to your QuickBooks. The Configuration Wizard will appear for connecting to your QuickBooks file:
When you click on Connect to QuickBooks, a window will pop up to give you further instructions. You will need to create the necessary connection users, then Login as Admin to QuickBooks - and in multi-user mode.
If you are running Enterprise Solutions 11 or greater, you will be prompted for the password for the Custom Reporting user you created during the step above.
Select a Subject(s)

Schedule a synchronization option. Choose whether you want to schedule the frequency at a particular daily time, or just synchronize on demand (Manual Refresh). If you are a single-user, we generally recommend that you don't use the scheduler, unless your computer is on 24 hours, with no nightly interruptions.
You have more advanced options for automatic scheduling in the Configuration Tool.
Load your data. Choose whether to an immediate synch or delay until later.
If you DO decide to load your data immediately, then upon clicking the Finish button, you will see the Configuration Tool and the synch activity in blue as shown here:
You can also look at the lower right hand tray where the QQube Synchronizer 'Lightning Bolt' will show activity.
When the data synch is complete, the QQube Configuration tool will show "QQube - Ready to Use"
NOTE: if you see Status with the blue word 'Error', then click on the link to see how to fix it.
