The purpose of QQube is to give you the ability to create reports and analytics out-of-the box without having to spend months to learn about the complexities of tables, relationships, and reverse engineering of the QuickBooks database and SDK.
Additionally QQube provides a set of additional PowerPivot Measures to shorten your learning curve. (Learn more about PowerPivot calculated measures.)
So we give you a set of default folders and fields which:
The default number of Custom Fields listed in a particular folder is 3, but you can easily retrieve the other custom fields, or other QQube fields that you want to make available for your Pivot Model.
First, open up your PowerPivot spreadsheet from the QQube Configuration Tool (See Getting Started with PowerPivot) Then open up the Data Model.
Second, click on the correct Tab (table). If you want the item custom field information used in the transactions then choose the Transaction Line Attributes Tab. If you want the item custom field information listed in the items list, then choose the Item Tab, etc.
Then highlight the Design Tab at the top, and click on Table Properties:
A window will open that contains all of the available fields for that Tab (Table). If it is checked then it will be available for your list of available pivot table fields.
Do NOT Un-Check fields that begin with "LinkFor" or "LinkTo" as they represent fields that link the various QQube tables together.
Once you have chosen your fields to add, Save and exit the Table Properties window.
You have additional options by Right Clicking on a Field to either Rename the Field, or Hide / Unhide from the list of pivot table fields.
IMPORTANT: To ensure that the field shows in your list of fields: Go to the Home Tab, and then click on the arrow underneath the Refresh Button, and choose Refresh:
Click the 'X' to leave the PowerPivot Model Window.
Your newly added field is available for your PowerPivot Table:
