Pre-Install Requirements

This guide is for QQube Version 6.x.

QQube Technical Requirements

• Server Operating Systems -  64 Bit Only for 2008&R2, 2011, 2012&R2, 2016
• Desktop Operating System -  64 Bit Only for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
• CPU - Minimum Recommended - 4th Generation Intel Core ix Processors
• Memory - 1 Gig Minimum for Single-User, 2 Gig Minimum (4 Gig Recommended) for Multi-User
• Hard Drive Space - 150MB available hard drive space. Additional space needed for the QQube database - up to 2 Gig+ per company
• Excel Add-In - Excel 2013 and above, both 32 and 64 bit. 64 Bit Encouraged.
• .NET Framework - Version 4.6.1 or above required

Because developers do not have direct access to the database, the more horsepower the better.

RELEASES

• 2015 - Minimum Release 4 (R4); Patch Releases R10 and later are recommended and contain the new security features
• 2016 - Release 1 thru current  is ok; R7 and later is recommended as new security features have been added; 
• 2017 - Release 1 thru current is ok except R5 which requires a QuickBooks patch
• 2018 - Current Release is ok 

QuickBooks Multi-Company Requirements

• Requires QQube Multi-Company Add-On
  • Up to 3 QuickBooks Company Files 
  • 4 to 10 QuickBooks Company Files
  • 11 to 100 QuickBooks Company Files
  • (Trial Version has no limitations)
• You can combine,mix, aggregate any QQube supported QuickBooks file
• Automation of extraction can only be done seamlessly with the same type of QB file e.g. all Premier, or all Enterprise files

• Microsoft Access - 2013 and above. 
• Microsoft Excel - 2013 and above
• Excel PowerPivot. Excel 2013 (Professional Plus Edition only), Excel 2016 (Professional Plus, Excel Standalone) and Excel 365 (Office 365 ProPlus Edition, E3, E4)
• Microsoft Power BI - Current Version (Updates are monthly from Microsoft)
• SAP Crystal Reports - 2011 and above.
• Tableau - Versions 9.x and above.

Pre-Install Workstation/Server Configuration Implementation

SINGLE USER

• Administrative Permissions to the workstation or laptop
• Does not connect to a network where another QQube engine/implementation exists.
• Cannot be installed on a server

MULTI - USER

• Client version of QuickBooks must be installed and registered on the server via the administrator console.
• Administrative console can only be locked - not logged out of

REMOTE DESKTOP

• Dedicated server user called "QQubeSynch", with administrative rights, and the time out property set to "never". This is where the multi-user server portion is installed, and where the synch takes place.
• Client version of QuickBooks must be installed and registered under the dedicated server user
• Dedicated server user cannot be logged out of

The Intuit SDK (Software Development Kit) only allows QQube to communicate with QuickBooks via a client interface, and doesn't allow the use of a service to perform that communication.
