Instructions for QQube Version 5.x Single-User Install

PRE-INSTALL REQUIREMENTS

• Read the latest requirements document covering technical hardware/software specs, and application requirements
• Pre-Install Workstation Configuration Requirements:
  • Does not connect to a network where another QQube engine/implementation exists.
  • Must install as a user with administrative rights (you can change later to regular user).

INSTALLATION CHOICES

IMPORTANT: If you are installing this for a user who does NOT have administrative machine permissions, you must temporarily give them user rights (Do NOT right click and "Run as Administrator").  Otherwise just double click on the qqubeinstall.exe to begin the installation.

OVERVIEW OF ADMINISTRATIVE PERMISSIONS

If you are an IT professional and installing this on a workstation where the user does NOT normally have administrative machine permissions, understand that the user will not have the ability to start or stop the database service, but will still have the ability to perform all other functions, including adding and removing QuickBooks companies, and fixing synch issues.
