QQube Technical Requirements

• Server Operating Systems -  64 Bit Only for 2016, 2019.  2012 R2  (2012 R2 Requires R4_67 for QuickBooks 2022)
• Desktop Operating System -  64 Bit Only for Windows 10, 11. Windows 8.1 (Windows 8.1 Requires R4_67 for QuickBooks 2022).
• CPU - Minimum Recommended - 5th Generation Intel Core ix Processors
• Memory - 4 Gig Minimum for Single-User, 8 Gig Minimum for Multi-User.
• Hard Drive Space - 350MB available hard drive space. Additional space needed for the QQube database - up to 3 Gig+ per company
• Excel Add-In - Excel 2013 and above (including 365, 2019), both 32 and 64 bit. 64 Bit Encouraged.
• .NET Framework - Version 4.8 or above required

Because developers do not have direct access to the database, the more horsepower the better.

Canadian Multi-currency versions thru 2022.

UK is no longer supported, effective 11/1/2021.  (Intuit has discontinued QuickBooks UK Version as of September, 2021)

New Zealand version thru current year.

RELEASES

• 2023 - Requires QQube 7.9.536 or later.  Current Release is ok.
• 2022 - Requires QQube 7.9.536 or later and QuickBooks R4_67 or later.
• 2021 - Current Release is ok.
• 2020 - Current Release is ok.
• Prior to 2020 - Intuit sunsets the fourth year release every May 31.  e.g. 2019 was sunsetted on May 31, 2022.   QQube will work but is not supported.

QuickBooks Multi-Company Requirements

• Requires the QQube Multi-Company Add-On
  
  • Up to 3 QuickBooks Company Files
  • 4 to 10 QuickBooks Company Files
  • 11 to 100 QuickBooks Company Files
  • (Trial Version has no limitations)
• You can combine, mix, aggregate any QQube supported QuickBooks file
• Automation of extraction can only be done seamlessly with the same type of QB file e.g. all Premier, or all Enterprise files

Requirements to Run Examples

• Microsoft Access - 2013 and above. 
• Microsoft Excel - 2013 and above
• Excel PowerPivot. Excel 2013 (Professional Plus Edition only), Excel 2016/2019 (Professional Plus, Excel Standalone) and Excel 365 (Office 365 ProPlus Edition, E3, E4)
• Microsoft Power BI - Current Version (Updates are monthly from Microsoft)
• SAP Crystal Reports - 2011 and above.
• Tableau - Versions 9.x and above.

Implementation Requirements

SINGLE USER (Workstation Only)

• QuickBooks client must be installed and registered
• Administrative Permissions for installation (NOT "run as administrator")
• Does not connect to a network where another QQube engine/implementation exists.
• Cannot be installed on a server

MULTI-USER

• If local network - install on administrative console.  Administrative console can only be locked - not logged out of. This is where the installation is performed, and where the synch takes place.
• If network is remote desktop, terminal server or hosted platform where users remotely login to use QuickBooks, create a dedicated server user called "QQubeSynch", with temporary administrative rights, and the time out property set to "never". This is where the installation is performed, and where the synch takes place.

Intuit SDK (Software Development Kit) only allows QQube to communicate with QuickBooks via a client interface, and doesn't allow the use of a service to perform that communication.
