Instructions for QQube Version 5.x Configuration Tool Wizard
If you have a terminal server installation, you only perform this step when logged in as the specific synch user you setup on the server.
The wizard will take you through six easy steps:
Open up the QQube Configuration tool to invoke the Configuration Tool Wizard:
Before You Start. You are asked to stop and ensure that you have completed the QuickBooks Preparation Checklist. Not executing the items in the checklist will lead to synch errors, and inaccurate data.
Connect to QuickBooks. This step will take you through connecting to QuickBooks using the users you created from the instructions in this How-To Guide.
A window will pop up to give you remind of to (a) login to the specific QB file as admin, and in multi-user mode, and (b) how to answer the pop-up that will occur in QuickBooks when you click on OK.
NOTE 1: You can only have ONE instance of QuickBooks running.
NOTE 2: You cannot open QuickBooks via "Run as Administrator". If you see a small shield on your QB Icon, check the properties to remove that option.
Answer "Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is running" on this screen
Answering "Yes..." will pop-up this authorization screen:
Answering "Yes" brings you back to original Application Certificate screen, where you will choose the QQube user you setup previously, before Continuing.
Confirm the access.
For QuickBooks Enterprise users, you will receive a second pop-up window, where you will enter the Custom Reporting User password (NOT the QuickBooks regular user).
Select Available Analytics.
The wizard is intended to give you the most likely set of analytics traditionally used in your industry. You can always add or remove other analytics once you are familiar with how QQube works.
Confirm Date Range for Financial Summaries.
The three year summary is only for Financial Statements and Financial Statements by Class, including the analytic for Profit and Loss with combined Actual/Budget/Forecast.
Schedule a synchronization option. Choose whether you want to schedule the frequency at a particular daily time, or just synchronize on demand (Manual Refresh). If you are a single-user, we generally recommend that you don't use the scheduler, unless your computer is on 24 hours, with no nightly interruptions.
Upon completing the wizard, you can choose more advanced options for automatic scheduling in the Configuration Tool.
Load Data. Choose whether to execute an immediate synch or delay until later.
If you DO decide to load your data immediately, click the Finish button, and monitor the synch activity.
You can also look at the lower right hand tray where the QQube Synchronizer 'Lightning Bolt' will show activity.
When the data synch is complete, the QQube Configuration tool will show "QQube - Ready to Use" as shown here
If you see the blue word Error, then click on it, as indicated below.
