There are several reasons for using this option:
If you want to see the current path, scroll the grid to the right:
To change the path, click the Change Path button, and this screen will appear with instructions for you to open up the QuickBooks file for which you want to change the path:
Hit the Save button on the configuration tool, once completed.
If you receive notice that the latest version of QQube has a new digitally signed certificate, then you can use this option to re-authorize QQube to talk to QuickBooks.
These certificates are similar to SLL certifcates that are used in https://websites and shopping carts to ensure secure transactions
We have to renew these every three years - but they have to be re-issued by the certificate authority, and we can't just update the existing certificate. We have to replace it with the new one. This is by design by the certificate authorities. So this means that each QB file must be re-authorized to use the new certificate. Failure to do so will result in the 8004041D/80040430/80040435 error ("This application is not allowed to log into this QuickBooks company data file automatically")
So you will get the following steps:
Answer yes for the following screen:
That will prompt this window, where you will answer "Yes":
Bringing you back to the original window where you click "Continue":
Click "Done" on the next window:
Lastly you will see this message from QQube:
Although it appears that nothing was saved, the new certificate, was in fact, added to QuickBooks. You can continue to use QQube, and synch from where you left off.
In other words, it won't be necessary to reload from scratch.
