We use the Sybase SQLAnywhere database technology, which has a reputation of being a very robust, high performance product that maintains strict levels of data integrity.
However, there are times where the data becomes corrupted inside of QQube because of faulty synch operations, corruption in the QuickBooks database file, or QuickBooks data and preference changes. And the only way to fix these is to clear the QQube database and reload from scratch.
On larger QuickBooks files this can be painful because of the limitations of the Intuit Software Development Kit (SDK), but data accuracy overrides all concerns.
These issues will require you to reload your QuickBooks data from scratch.
First, open up the Configuration Tool. Then open up the Data Synch option, and highlight the Manual Refresh section as shown below.
VERSIONS 6.x AND 7.x
First check the "Run All" Box, then the box "Clear all data on synch start" will be available for you to check. (You will notice that "Scheduled" will have an asterisk at the end e.g. Scheduled*, both in the log, and on the list of Synch Logs in the QQube Configuration Tool).
VERSIONS 5.7x
STEP A. In the Data Sources section, hold down the Ctrl Key and Double Click on the phrase "QuickBooks Company List to show the plus sign, and to expose the "Clear QQube Views" check box.
STEP B. In the Manual Refresh section, check the "Run All" and perform a manual refresh.
You can manually run a synch by clicking on the "Run Now" button, or just let the clearing operation occur when your next scheduled synch is set to go.
Please remember that a reload e.g. initial load - may take some time, and is dependent upon the size of the file, and the speed of the computer. Learn more about synch speeds.
