You receive an error in the log that says:
These comes directly from the Intuit Software Development Kit (SDK) and indicate that it is unable to auto-login to the requested QuickBooks file.
There are four possible reasons:
If you have a copy of QuickBooks that you receive from a branch, or other user, please do the following. Login as admin to the QuickBooks file and first ensure that passwords for all users meet Intuit complex password requirements, including - and most importantly, the QQube user. (At least seven characters, at least one number, and at least one uppercase letter).
Then connect the file to QQube to establish the correct permissions, as shown here.
You can then give back the copy of the file to the branch, or other user, to allow them to continue to use QuickBooks, until you are ready to receive another copy at a later date. This time, when you overwrite the current QB file, the proper permissions will already be in place.
Cause 2 and Cause 3.. (If you have a multi-user version of QQube, this step must be performed on the server where the QQube Multi-User Server option is installed.)
Cause 4. There are several reasons why this would have occurred.
What happens in either of these cases is that you have more than one synchronizer running, thus confusing the QQube synch process.
To fix the first possible reason under Cause 4, you need to uninstall from the person who orignally installed QQube under their name - ensuring that they have administrative rights for the uninstall process (do not right click and "Run as Adminstrator") Then reinstall under the either the dedicated synch user in a multi-user environment, or the desired user on a workstation in a single-user environment.
